How Can You Help? 

Locally 

You can spread the word about Operation: America Loves You to your local chapters of Army Moms, Navy Moms, Marine Moms and Air Force Moms.  OPSALY is your umbrella organization for recognizing and honoring those that have enlisted to defend this wonderful country of ours.  We can help you coordinate the shoebox efforts with the post office.  We can help you enlist your local Boy Scouts to have joint fund-raisers where they do something to earn a merit badge, make some funds for their troops and split the proceeds with us by cooking hot dogs for sale to customers at Home Depot and Lowe’s or your local grocery on the Saturday’s around Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day.  Maybe you can come up with even more creative ways to help us raise funds.  Write us and let us know so we can spread the word to others all across this great nation of ours.  Our goal is to let every soldier know we appreciate their sacrifices. 

Tell your children’s teachers about OPSALY.  Give them our website and ask if they are willing to blend a history lesson with the people that were there and lived through it.  We can help coordinate a visit from a veteran and/or a member of the VFW or American Legion to make WW II, the Korean War, Vietnam, and the Gulf Wars come alive with real stories from the real people that were there right inside their classrooms. 

10,000 cases of soda pop weigh a lot and the cards and letters can be very expensive to ship overseas.  Most of the time we can get an airline to include it gratis, but not every time.  Your tax deductable contributions will help make sure the troops get those comforts of home and get those cards and letters.  Our army of volunteers have to find ways of paying their own airlines tickets and lodging expenses while Operation: America Loves You is overseas or traveling to a base near you.  There are always volunteers left behind that want to go.  Your generosity will help. 

Holidays are tough for young men and women to be away from home, your contributions can help curb the over 100 suicides each year in the US Army not to mention those in the other armed forces as well.  Operation: America Loves You is the ‘real deal’ and these kids need your help.
